Position Summary
Aimtron Group is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler / Conformal Coating Technician to support the assembly, coating, inspection, and testing of electronic and electromechanical products. The role requires mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to follow engineering documentation and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly of electronic products, subassemblies, and box builds.
· Assemble components, hardware, cables, wires, and harnesses using hand and small power tools.
· Read and follow engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, work instructions, and SOPs.
· Prepare assemblies for conformal coating, including cleaning, masking, fixturing, and material preparation.
· Operate coating equipment and apply materials according to established specifications.
· Inspect coated assemblies for coverage, thickness, defects, masking, and workmanship.
· Use calipers, gauges, magnification equipment, digital multimeters, and other basic inspection tools.
· Troubleshoot assembly and coating issues within established procedures.
· Maintain accurate production, inspection, and quality records.
· Follow all quality, ESD, chemical handling, PPE, and safety requirements.
· Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required.
· 1 to 3 years of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronics assembly, conformal coating, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
· Conformal coating experience preferred.
· Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions.
· Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and small power tools.
· Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
· Ability to perform repetitive precision assembly and inspection work.
· Basic computer skills and production documentation experience.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to quality.
· Willingness to learn new manufacturing processes.
Physical & Work Environment
· Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, and perform hands-on assembly for extended periods.
· Ability to lift and move materials and assemblies as required.
· Ability to work with chemicals, cleaning agents, coatings, and required PPE.
· Ability to use magnification equipment when required.
· Must follow all ESD, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
